» View list of all help & support questions What is Aminus3?Aminus3 is a professional photoblog hosting service that provides an excellent venue for both pro and amateur photographers to showcase their work, while encouraging them to post a new image every day. The original concept of Aminus3 (pronounced “a minus three”) was born in a dream by Jason Kravitz where the word was associated to the photography concept of bracketing. When you shoot B&W, you take 3 pictures – 1 at the metered exposure, 1 slightly under exposed and 1 slightly over exposed – to have a better chance of achieving the correct lighting. Translating the dream to the web, Aaron Schmidt turned Aminus3 into a photoblog community website. Originally consisting of just a few friends, the site now encourages creative photographers from around the world to connect, learn and display their photography on a daily basis. Do you have ideas of where you want Aminus3 to go? We're listening. What are the rules for using Aminus3?The use of Aminus3 is subject to our terms & conditions. We have also outlined our recommended best practices in our Community Guidelines. Major cities that fall into this time zone include Toronto, New York, Havana, Bogotá and Lima. We understand that members live in other parts of the world and may prefer the date to change at midnight in their local time however a single turnover time was required so that all domains switched at the same time and no one domain had an advantage over any other.
